Tansy Star

“Tansy Star” is a sassy little thing who was born with a congenital birth defect. At only 4 months old, Tansy Star was facing a life-threatening medical condition. She had a hernia on her diaphragm that required immediate surgery before it interfered with how her major organs functioned. Tansy Star’s pet parent was not prepared for this financial hit and was prepared to wipe out her savings to save her fur-baby but those funds were not enough to cover the surgery. As a retired police officer on a fixed disability income, she reached out to whoever she could to ask for help. Time was running out and she was still short, her last hope was to contact the FACE Foundation. Luckily, FACE was able to work with Save-A-Life partner Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Marcos, who generously discounted Tansy Star’s surgery, so FACE could pledge the remaining amount to save her life!
