FACE grantee “Sebastion” belongs to a self-employed pet parent who loves him very much. She lives with her father who has Dementia and she relies on Sebastian to help her enjoy life as much as possible. One day, Sebastian managed to escape his house and ran onto the street where he was hit by a car and broke his leg. It cost his mom everything she had just to get him an exam and have radiographs done. She applied for credit, started a GoFundMe page, and reached out to whoever she could in hopes of getting the money she needed for Sebastian’s surgery. Unfortunately, she still came up heartbreakingly short. When all hope seemed lost she heard about the FACE Foundation and we knew we had to help this family in need. With the cooperation of Save-A-Life partner VCA Animal Medical Center of El Cajon, FACE was able to grant the money for Sebastian to get his life-saving surgery!
