Meet “Pete!” Pete’s human mom is a single parent to a young daughter with Infantile Diplegic Cerebral Palsy who relies on Pete for emotional stability and support. When Pete broke his leg she didn’t know how she would get the funds for his surgery but she knew her daughter’s well-being was at stake. At the time, Pete’s “mom” was looking for work and a new place to live, she was barely surviving off of government assistance. She had a glimmer of hope when Save-A-Life partner VCA Animal Specialty Group told her she might qualify for FACE funding. Thankfully, FACE had funds available to ensure this little girl with special needs did not have to say goodbye to a vital part of her family.
