Nina

Meet Nina! One day, Nina escaped out the front door and she was tragically hit by a car. She found her way back home with a broken jaw and her family was horrified to see Nina in such a state. Nina’s “mom” works full time to support her family. Their father is a veteran who is unemployed due to his post-traumatic stress disorder. They had no idea how they would be able to make their 5 year old son understand his kitty would have to be put down simply because they did not have the money to save her. Thankfully, VCA Grossmont Animal Hospital reached out to FACE and together we were able to get Nina her surgery! Her jaw was repaired and with the help of her devoted dad Nina was able to put the horrific experience behind her.

Nina and her proud protector! This little boy and his kitty clearly share a special bond, she is his little shadow.
