Miguel

Miguel is a sweet Chihuahua and Italian Greyhound mix. His owners, Cheryl and Nick, adopted him two months ago from a San Diego rescue group at a dog adoption event. It was love at first sight, and even though Miguel has only been a part of their family for a short amount of time, they have become extremely attached to him.
One day, Nick and Cheryl noticed that Miguel wasn’t putting any weight on one of his hind legs. They rushed him to the vet, where they discovered that he had a painful femur fracture and would need surgery to correct it and save his leg. Cheryl and Nick are both deaf and live on a severely limited income, but they were desperate to do what they could to save the life of their precious puppy.
Fortunately, with the help of the FACE Foundation, our generous donors, and the skilled surgeons at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital, Miguel was able to get the surgery he so desperately needed. He is now back at home recovering with his loving family.  Son we will be able to run and play again!
