7 year old Lucy is as sweet as they come! Lucy and her “parents” were temporarily living in an apartment while going through a financial rough patch and their roommate had a dog as well. There were never any signs of bad blood but one day they came home from work and both dogs had major bite wounds. They rushed Lucy to the vet and they were advised to get Lucy’s wounds treated right away. The only problem was that her parents simply did not have the funds, even though they desperately wanted to help Lucy. Lucy’s chances at recovering without the recommended treatment were not very good, she was at high risk of getting infections. FACE’s Save-A-Life partner Bodhi Animal Hospital suggested they reach out to FACE for help and good thing they did! Lucy’s family was approved for a grant and Lucy was able to get her emergency vet care!
