Meet Jake! Last week, this adorable pup took a bad tumble down the stairs and broke his back leg. When Jake’s “parents,” a former military couple with three children, found out that they would not be able to afford Jake’s emergency surgery, they were heartbroken. This month was devastating to their finances and the cost was more than they could bare. They were faced with either relinquishing Jake or putting him to sleep because of his pain, but knew they had to try to fund-raise for his surgery before taking either of those options. Thankfully, Parkway Pet Clinic referred them to FACE who with the help of Veterinary Specialty Hospital of North County was able to fund for Jake’s surgery.
