FACE grantee “Chubbs” is lucky to be alive today. This adorable little Pomeranian has 3 human siblings, ages 3, 4, and 5, and a single-parent who provides for all of them. Single-mom Julietta works and lives paycheck to paycheck. When Chubbs was diagnosed with a serious medical injury she had no savings available and zero options, or so she thought. Lucky for her, she heard about the FACE Foundation from Save-A-Life partner VCA Animal Medical Center of El Cajon and we were able to grant her the money to pay for the life-saving surgery Chubss desperately needed! Much to her relief, Julietta was spared the agony of telling her children they were going to lose a member of their family. Instead, she was able to reassure them that the FACE Foundation was there to save the day and make sure Chubbs would return home to his loving family.
