Chiquita

This playful little chihuahua is 6- month old Chiquita! While Chiquita looks happy and healthy here, she was recently fighting for her life after eating a lethal dose of anti-inflammatory pills. If left untreated, Chiquita would not be with us today. She needed immediate hospitalization and hands on care, but it was more than her family could afford. Chiquita holds a special place in her family’s lives. She was a gift from her “mom’s” father, who passed away right before Chiquita got sick. After hearing about their financial concerns, VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center helped the family with an application for FACE. Thanks to Life Sponsor MGN Online, we were able to approve the application. Chiquita responded well to treatments and is now at home with her loving family.
