Cash

Cash is a 13-month-old domestic short hair cat who was hospitalized with suspicion of foreign body obstruction. Radiographs confirmed a dense metal object was in his stomach and would need to be removed via gastrotomy. Cash’s “mom”, Valerie, is a single-mom and nursing school student on a fixed income at the moment. As much as she adored Cash, she had absolutely no way of funding the procedure required to save him. Thankfully for Cash and his family, our partner hospitals work hard to educate their clients about FACE as a community resource. When Valerie voiced financial concerns, VCA Animal Medical Center quickly referred her our way! We are happy to report Cash received his emergency surgery and is now back home recovering with his family!
