Buddy L.

Meet Buddy! Buddy is an adorable Chihuahua-Corgi mix who was rescued by his ‘parents’ two years ago. As they say, he adopted them. Buddy loves to spend his time playing with his ‘fur-sister,’ Nila, and providing therapy to his 86 year old grandmother. A few weeks ago, Buddy got a little restless and wedged his way out of the fence in his backyard. He wandered right into a street where he was hit by a truck. His fragile little body took a big blow, and he ended up with a leg fracture and several lacerations that needed repair. His owners are a married couple supporting a teenage daughter, their parents, and their sick grandmother. Although they both work full-time jobs, there was little money available to them at the time of Buddy’s emergency because of everything else going on at the time. Knowing that they could not afford the surgeries needed to save Buddy, they starting reaching out for assistance. Their treating vet, South Bay Veterinary Hospital, referred them to FACE. With their help, FACE was able to assist with Buddy’s life-saving treatment. Buddy is currently at home recovering, and FACE has received plenty of good updates from his owners along the way notifying us of his progress. Special thanks to FACE Save-a-Life Partner South Bay Vet Hospital and FACE Life Sponsor Nancarrow Realty Group, Inc. for helping to save Buddy!
