Another reason to love your vet…

A recent study by Dr. Lori Kogan of the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences has found that a large majority of veterinarians reduce the costs of services and products so that animals can get the care they need. Results of a survey of veterinarians show that nearly all of them have discounted prices at some point in the past, with a significant number (68%) reducing prices several times a month.

Survey respondents report that providing the best possible care for their patients is the most important reason for discounting services. With the rising costs of veterinary care, and the sad reality of economic euthanasia, vets are stepping up to the plate and doing all they can to give pets the care they need.
