River

Meet River the Golden Retriever! River’s family recently moved to the area for military duty. Around the time of the move, River’s family had to pay for emergency medical bills for another dog in the family, depleting their emergency funds and savings. Shortly after, emergency veterinary needs hit the family again when River was diagnosed with Pyometra, a life threatening infection in the uterus that occurs with animals who have not been spayed. River’s family brought her to South Bay Veterinarian Hospital for treatment. After doing everything they could to raise the funds needed, the family was still unable to afford the cost of the procedure.

That is when FACE stepped in. After reviewing River’s application, FACE was able to make a pledge towards her emergency surgery. River is now back at home and recovering with her family!
