Rex

Sweet “Rex” is a seven year old Dachshund who is adored by his human “dad.” The two of them have been together for all of Rex’s life and are incredibly attached to one another. One day, Rex’s dad noticed he was walking funny and just in a matter of hours he started dragging his back legs. Rex was taken to the hospital where they found he had spinal disc disease. The procedure to repair his spine would cost thousands of dollars and without it Rex would become paralyzed in a matter of days. Rex’s dad worked but had been in an accident and could not afford this unexpected cost for Rex’s care too. He was heartbroken to see his best friend suffer. Thank you Save-A-Life partner Veterinary Specialty Hospital for recommending he apply for assistance with FACE! Luckily, we were able to approve them for an emergency grant to get Rex’s life-saving surgery!
