This gorgeous Saint Bernard is “Layla!” Last year, Layla was diagnosed with having Pyometra. Without the necessary surgery, Layla would not last more than a few pain-filled days. Her human “mom” had just lost her job and was struggling to find a new source of income. She could not afford the entire cost of the surgery but could not imagine a life without Layla. Layla had been through many families because of her size. When her family found her she was at risk of being put down because her previous owners could not find a home for her. Layla’s family for the last few years refused to give her up, but the cost of this surgery was too much for them. Their only option would be to put her down or relinquish her to a shelter.
