King’s “mom” describes this Yorkie/Pomeranian puppy as “my best friend, the sweetest puppy in the world, and my trauma support dog.” Recently, King accidently wandered out and was hit by a car. He was brought into Veterinary Specialty Hospital where they determined he had a fractured pelvic and an injured shoulder that needed surgical repair ASAP. King’s family had pet insurance, but the coverage did not offer near enough for the needed surgery! Even though his injuries were completely treatable, King risked economic euthanasia because his family couldn’t afford his care. After doing everything they could to raise the money on their own, they turned to FACE for help. Thanks to our friends at Ruggable, this family remained whole and King got the care he needed to thrive.
