Chowder
Chowder’s mom left him for a few hours to run some errands and noticed he was limping when she returned. Turns out, Chowder had broken his knee and would need surgery. The 4-month-old Boxer had only lived with his family for two months after being adopted. Chowder is deaf and his owner’s 11-year-old twins learned sign language to communicate with him. The surgery to fix Chowder’s leg was far beyond what his owner could afford. She’s been disabled for several years and lives with her parents. FACE provided much needed financial assistance to get Chowder back on his feet and now he can live a long and happy life with his adoptive family.
