Casper

Meet “Casper!” This pup had a rough first year of life. Casper is deaf but does not let his disability get in the way of his happiness. Unfortunately, Casper’s home is located on a busy street so when he snuck out of the gate one day he was immediately hit by a car. He miraculously walked away, seemingly uninjured. However, months later his concerned owner discovered there had been damage to a nerve that caused his leg to become lame. His vet determined Casper would need an amputation. Casper’s “mom” lived on her own and had no savings to fall back on during this critical time. Luckily, FACE was able to step in and help out alongside Save A Life partner Oceanside Veterinary Hospital. Everyone coming together ensured Casper would get a second chance at life and go on to be another beloved pet in our community.
