This handsome fellow is a 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier named Petey. Petey was bitten by a rattlesnake when out for a walk recently.

Rattlesnake bites can be life-threatening emergencies for dogs. Unfortunately, Petey’s dad was laid off during the pandemic and was unable to pay for his urgent veterinary care.

The staff at San Diego’s Veterinary Speciality Hospital referred him to FACE. Our after-hours team reviewed his application as quickly as possible and approved his grant in half an hour.

We’re happy to report that Petey received the life-saving treatment he needed thanks to our friends at VSH and our generous supporters!
