Melody’s family began to notice that something was wrong with their cat.  She started hiding and showing signs of stomach pain.  They took her to the vet and X-rays showed that she had ingested a foreign object…string.

Melody needed emergency surgery to save her life, but her family was waiting for unemployment benefits to start, since the claim process had slowed considerably with the COVID crisis.

Luckily, a grant from FACE plus discounted services from her care team at Rancho Del Oro Veterinary Hospital allowed Melody to have her much needed surgery.  Here’s a short video of sweet Melody:
