Twelve year old Justin is the beloved pet in a San Diego military family.  He began to experience severe pain while walking and his veterinarian diagnosed him with intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), a degenerative spinal condition requiring immediate surgery to relieve his pain.

Justin’s family could not afford the full cost of his surgery and were faced with the possibility of euthanasia.  Fortunately, his veterinary team at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital referred them to FACE.  A FACE grant, with assistance from The Grey Muzzle Organization, helped Justin get his needed surgery and he is now able to enjoy his senior years pain-free!
