This adorable pup is Henna! Over the holidays, Henna began to have trouble walking. She made several emergency trips to the vet and spent 3 days at the hospital.

It was determined that poor Henna was suffering from intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), a degenerative spinal condition seen in Dachshunds and other breeds with similar body types.

Henna was at risk for paralysis and needed surgery, but her mom couldn’t afford the cost after already spending a good amount on her emergency care.

Thanks to a FACE grant, Henna was able to get her needed surgery and she is now on the road to recovery!
