August 26th is International Dog Day. To help celebrate, here is FACE grantee Shadow!

Shadow had 2 emergency surgeries for serious spinal problems in 2021. His mom is a military service member and spent her savings on Shadow’s first operation. Shadow’s 16-year-old human sister even got a second job to help pay his medical bills.

Shadow’s mom applied for a FACE grant for his second operation and we were able to help him get the treatment he needed to be able to walk again.
