Lost Cat Reunited with Owner After 12 Years

A 2-year-old Canadian cat named Loli escaped her home and went missing in 2010. Her owner was never able to locate her and assumed she was lost forever.

Fast-forward 12 years, when Christine De Castro got a call from Vaughan, Ontario Animal Services saying her cat was found. It was long-lost Loli, now a senior cat of 14 years.

Loli was adopted from the Toronto Humane Society and had been microchipped, which led to her reunion with Christine.

Christine has taken Loli back into her home, but she can’t help but wonder what her cat has been up to over these past several years. “I wish cats could talk so that she could tell me where she’s been … but I’m glad she’s come to me now to be taken care of in her older golden years,” says a still-surprised Christine.
