Pet Companies Team Up for “Take Your Cat to the Vet” Campaign
Did you know that more than half of US cats are not taken to the veterinarian for an annual veterinary exam? Yearly checkups are an important part of keeping your cat happy and healthy.
Royal Canin, Chewy, PetSmart, and Banfield have become partners to raise awareness of this issue with their Take Your Cat to the Vet campaign (#Cat2Vet).
A veterinary spokesperson for the campaign, Dr. Natalie Marks, reports that “The #Cat2Vet campaign provides much needed guidelines and information for cat owners to remove the stress and anxiety of the veterinary visit so cats can benefit from a thorough physical exam, wellness screening and preventative vaccinations.”
Actress Mayim Bialik has also joined the campaign and contributed a public service announcement to the effort.
The pet companies partnering in the #Cat2Vet campaign are providing several incentives to encourage cat owners to take their cats to the vet for wellness exams and preventive care.
Royal Canin is offering a complimentary virtual chat with a veterinarian via Ask.Vet. They are also offering a free visit at participating Banfield veterinary clinics with the purchase of a product at PetSmart.
You can also enter the #Cat2Vet sweepstakes and win cat health prizes like food, carriers, Feliway diffusers, and discounted services at Banfield.
