Sweet “Harper” is a 3 year old Shih Tzu who is the center of her young human mom’s world. The two of them have been together for the last 2 years and have become incredibly attached to one another. Harper was recently diagnosed with having a spine injury that required emergency surgery after she jumped off the couch and crashed onto the floor. The procedure would cost thousands of dollars and without it Harper would become paralyzed in a matter of days. Harper’s “mom” worked but could not afford this unexpected cost up-front. She was heartbroken to see her best friend suffer while she struggled with the idea of putting this young dog to sleep. Luckily, Save-A-Life partner CVS Murrieta told her about FACE and recommended she apply for assistance. FACE was able to approve them for an emergency grant to get Harper’s life-saving surgery!
