Jax: 3-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Diagnosis: traumatic ocular injury
Procedure: enucleation
Jax is a beach-loving, ball-chasing love bug with the biggest heart imaginable. His little paws have walked beside his mom through some of the hardest moments in her life, including the loss of a second part-time job she was working to make ends meet, and the subsequent move to temporary housing from the apartment she could no longer afford. During all of this, Jax sadly suffered a painful eye injury requiring urgent surgery to remove the damaged eye. Even though his mom still has her full-time job, the cost of treatment is way beyond her reach.
Faced with an agonizing decision, she luckily found FACE, and Jax is now home after a successful surgery.
Many thanks to our veterinary partner: VCA Eye Clinic for Animals
From Jax's Mom:
“Jax and I are so thankful for your help. I could not have done this without the help of your organization FACE Foundation! This was a pretty traumatic experience for him to have his eye injured and have to be removed. He is my precious little baby! This experience showed me how truly expensive veterinarian and hospital care is. I thank you so much for helping me. When I got the news today that I was approved took a huge huge load off. I believe you are all angels and I thank you so much. Jax is almost 4 years old...and I love him with all my heart. Thank you again FACE Foundation!”
