Daisy: 8-year-old Poodle mix
Diagnosis: inguinal hernia/mastectomy
Procedure: inguinal hernia repair surgery/mastectomy
Daisy, an 8-year-old poodle mix with a gentle soul, was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia—a painful, potentially life-threatening condition where organs press through a weak spot near the groin. Her mom, who is currently in temporary housing and relying on government assistance, is doing everything she can to rebuild her life. But when confronted with the cost of Daisy’s surgery, she was heartbroken and terrified she might lose the one constant source of comfort in her life, simply because she couldn’t afford to save her. Fortunately, she was introduced to FACE, and Daisy is wagging her tail again.
