Retail Operations & Customer Care Specialist – Wag N’ Purr Shop 
Location: FACE Office – 10505 Sorrento Valley Rd., Suite 175, San Diego, CA 92121
Schedule: Part Time, Hourly
25 hours per week guaranteed; 3-4 days in office required
$25.00 per hour

Under supervision of the founder of Wag N’ Purr Shop and FACE’s Executive Director, this position assists with a variety of tasks associated with running Wag N’ Purr Shop, FACE’s online resale boutique.

Primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, assisting with product intake from our valued donors, product assessment and generation of SKUs; overseeing product photography; product inventory management; tracking product movement in and out of storage and ensuring security and proper storage of product; product input into Shopify platform; shipping; customer service support; assistance with certain store website updates; and maintaining the standard operating procedure manual.

Additional responsibilities will include soliciting product donations; coordinating store volunteers; and assisting with business operations tasks as assigned by the Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires both being a team player and being someone who can work independently with limited supervision. A passion for fashion, sustainable shopping—and for animal welfare—will be critical for success in this role. The qualified candidate must also be very detail oriented and organized, and must possess excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiar with the Shopify e-commerce platform.
  • Knowledgable about e-commerce and luxury fashion brands.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • An excellent written and verbal communicator.
  • Able to professionally handle customer inquiries and issues.
  • Able to follow through on projects/tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work well with a small team and work independently.

Physical requirements:

  • Valid California driver’s license & ability to take product shipments to post office.
  • Ability to sit and work with a desktop and/or laptop computer.
  • Some light lifting of products bins.
