What to Know About Our Special Case Appeals
Every day, FACE receives heartening requests from desperate pet parents with companion animals in need of emergency veterinary care that they are unable to afford. With the help of generous donors like you, we are able to immediately commit to funding these critical cases.
But, sometimes extra support is needed.
You may have noticed that for certain cases, we send out a call for help – a “Special Case Appeal.” These appeals help us raise additional support for pets in need of more costly or complex treatment. Additionally, cases such as this often require an immediate funding decision from our animal grants department in order for a pet’s life to be saved, and being able to raise funds quickly helps us in our overall case/grant management and planning.
Recently, we had two special cases: Tsuki, a sweet kitty who survived a terrifying coyote attack, and Anna, an adorable Schnauzer pup with two broken legs after a scary fall. Within hours of each case appeal, generous FACE donors answered the call and enabled us to move quickly to help these beloved family pets. We are forever grateful for the kindness and support we receive in these emergency situations, and it is so heartening to see thankful and relieved pet parents reunited with their furry companions.
