Meet FACE Success Story Doom
Don’t let the name fool you–Doom is a sweet and playful 3-year-old cat who had a serious health problem recently. His mom took him to the vet after she noticed that he was struggling to go in the litter box.
Doom was diagnosed with obstipation, a blockage in the colon. Poor Doom spent 5 days in the hospital getting treatment for serious constipation. Unfortunately, laxatives and dietary changes didn’t solve the problem and he needed surgery to remove part of his colon.
Doom’s mom had already spent a significant amount of money for his previous hospitalization and treatment and just didn’t have the funds to cover Doom’s serious surgery. With help from family and a financial grant from FACE, Doom’s team at A Cat’s View Veterinary Hospital was able to perform his life-saving surgery.
