Luna
Luna, a rambunctious two-month old maltipoo, was taken to the emergency hospital after she got a little too excited while playing and fell off the couch, injuring her hind leg. Radiographs discovered a fractured femur that required urgent surgery. Without the surgery, it was possible that Luna might lose her leg! As a single parent, making do on a fixed income, Luna’s mom was unable to afford the surgery. She started a GoFundMe page and reached out to FACE for help. With help from Save-A-Life partner, Veterinary Specialty Hospital, Sorrento Valley and Life Sponsor Ruggable FACE was able to provide funding for Luna’s surgery.
Update from Luna’s mom:
“I want to send a HUGE thank you to the FACE Foundation and all the donors that make everything possible. Little Luna needed her femur fracture fixed and without the help from FACE it would not have been possible. She is now home and doing well. We have a long 4-6 weeks but we are sure happy to have her home and recovering. I am now a happy donor so that I can give back to someone else who might need it in the future. Thank you!”
