“My dogs are my family. I live for them. Every morning they wake me up. I have no family or friends. They are my everything.” Riley’s pet parent is an elderly woman who lives on her own and has a fixed income. When Riley was diagnosed with a painful and crippling spine disease, she knew the chances of him surviving this condition were not good. Riley’s treatment cost thousands of dollars and his owner had no one to turn to-or so she thought. Riley’s “mom” was already beginning to mourn Riley when Save A Life partner California Veterinary Specialists offered a glimmer of hope and told her about the FACE Foundation. She wasted no time to apply for funding and thanks to our wonderful donors, FACE was able to help this senior and her beloved Riley.
