Ice

This handsome Doberman is “Ice!” Ice and his family sought assistance from FACE when poor Ice was diagnosed with having a foreign body. Without emergency surgery to unblock his intestines, Ice had no chance of surviving. His “dad” was worried sick, he couldn’t stand to see Ice vomiting uncontrollably, unable to eat anything for days.
In a letter to FACE he explained his situation and his love for Ice, “I have wanted a dog for several years for emotional support, but wasn’t able to do so until last year. I am a Navy veteran with PTSD and he has been a big help in my life. I look forward to seeing him every day. His energy is infectious and keeps a smile on my face.”
FACE is grateful to our Save-A-Life partner University Pet Hospital for referring Ice and his dad to us. Because Ice’s dad had so many financial obligations in his life at the time, it would have been impossible for him to afford the life-saving surgery Ice needed. FACE was able to grant Ice the funds he needed and gave his family many more years with their beloved dog.
