Rachel Rothstein


As a passionate animal advocate and nonprofit professional, Rachel has been involved in the animal welfare community for nearly a decade. Her experience includes work and internships with the Humane Society of the United States, Compassion Over Killing, and Expand Animal Rights Now, a law firm which advocates for animals who have been abused and neglected. Prior to moving to San Diego, she was the Executive Assistant of an online retail site as well as an event coordinator.

Rachel has an extensive educational background, particularly in relation to nonprofit work and advocacy. She most recently earned her Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management at the University of San Diego. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from McDaniel College, and did her capstone project on “The Rhetoric of Advocacy.” She also has a Nonprofit Management graduate certificate from the University of Southern California.

In her free time, Rachel loves reading, vegan baking, and volunteering.

When asked why she loves FACE, Rachel says, “No one should have to lose their fur baby just because of financial hardship. I love FACE because it allows families to stay together – and that is truly priceless.”
