This little cutie is Max!  He recently escaped out of the house and got injured because he was hit by a car.  Max’s mom and dad had both worked in the food service industry and were laid off during the COVID-19 crisis.  They were struggling to make ends meet and tried their best to raise money for Max’s needed surgery.

Our veterinary partners at San Diego’s Pet Emergency and Speciality Center referred Max’s parents to FACE.  A FACE grant and discounted services from PESC allowed Max to get his life-saving surgery.

We heard from Max’s parents and are happy to report that Max is on the road to recovery:

“I want to truly thank you guys for being able to help my son walk again! This is such a blessing to have him home with us again and to see him on those four feet. I can’t express how much it means to us that we were able to work together. He’s come so far thanks to you guys. Sending so much hugs and love to you guys. Seriously can’t thank you enough.”
