Last Known 9/11 Search and Rescue Dog Celebrates 16th Birthday
Have a box of tissues handy before you watch this heartwarming video about a sweet search and rescue dog from Texas named Bretagne, thought to be the last living 9/11 search dog.
Bretagne and her owner/handler Denise Corliss travelled from Texas to New York City for their first deployment…a search and recovery mission at Ground Zero shortly after the 9/11 attacks.
Bretagne and her people were invited back to New York to celebrate her 16th birthday in style. She was showered with gifts, treats, and lots of love and appreciation for her work as a devoted search and rescue dog during the difficult days after 9/11.
